PBID Ambassadors: Keeping Downtown Welcoming, Safe, and Active

 

Our PBID Safety and Stewardship Ambassadors are at the heart of Downtown Chico’s daily care. They provide hands-on support that keeps our streets and public spaces clean, welcoming, and safe for everyone. Ambassadors assist visitors, provide directions, remove litter and graffiti, and report maintenance or safety issues as they arise.

They also play a critical role in engaging with unhoused individuals, offering respectful outreach, connecting them to available services, and helping to de-escalate situations that could impact public safety or the downtown environment. Working side-by-side with property owners, city staff, and social service partners, the Ambassadors make a visible difference every day in maintaining downtown’s sense of comfort and community.​​​
